Freefall at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving

By Article Expert on May. 28, 2009.

As more individuals have become interested in indoor skydiving experiences, there have been more and more indoor skydiving gyms that have been springing up all over the country.  There are even some indoor skydiving chains, such as Flyaway, that have wind tunnels all over the country.  Many of these gyms are used by professional skydivers such as military personnel and other expert skydivers.  The reason that they will choose Flyaway indoor skydiving gyms for practice rather than practicing from the airplane at all times is because they can get more flight experience in the free fall stages for less cost than jumping from an airplane.  This allows these personnel to become more proficient and safer in the air so that there are less accidents and injuries due to errors during free fall.

Conditions

There are certain requirements that must be met if individuals want to participate at a Flyaway indoor skydiving tunnel.  One is that individuals cannot weigh more than two hundred thirty pounds and cannot weight less than forty.  The reason for this is that it is impossible for those outside of those limits to either achieve lift, or to achieve lift in a safe manner, being able to maneuver in the wind tunnel rather than being blown around in it.

Every Flyaway indoor skydiving tunnel requires individuals to go through a training class so that they can learn the basics of skydiving indoors.  In addition, they will be giving a short lesson with an instructor on flying, where the instructor spots the individuals while they take their first flights.  Before going into the tunnel, individuals will be given a flight suit, helmet, ear plugs and goggles so that all safety equipment and requirements are met.  Otherwise, individuals should wear comfortable clothing that they are able to fully move around in during flight.  In addition, socks and tennis shoes are required for safety reasons so that landings are safe.

The Flyaway indoor skydiving tunnels are beneficial to training both experts and novices, requiring each to learn how to maneuver in a tight environment, thus sharpening the skills of all who participate.  This means that a person that is used to maneuvering in a traditional skydiving free fall may have trouble at first in a tunnel experience since they do not have a lot of room to maneuver.  However, this will ultimately help them to sharpen their skills in the open air since, if they are able to do turns and dives in a small environment, they will be that much more precise in the open sky, thus decreasing the chances for mistakes and giving the enthusiast the ultimate extreme skydiving adventure.

A silencer is the best thing you might want to add to your sniper rifle. This will let you take shots silently. This helps when trying to keep quiet when surrounded by the enemy. The silencer allows you to take a shot quietly. Some guns are very loud when they shoot. You don’t want this. As a sniper you have to be as quiet as possible. That means with your movements as you crawl, when you talk to your teammates through radios, and when you shoot your gun.

Pod carriers allow you to carry extra ammunition on you while you are playing the game. Attach these to your vest and or belt. You don’t want to lose your ammo or find that you left it at the last location you were hiding before. Perhaps the most deadly mistake is running out of ammunition. Pod carriers are the best solution.

Camouflage is important because you don’t want to be seen when you are playing. When playing in the dark you don’. Many people like to wear black. Some people like to wear outfits that have leaves and things integrated in them so they look like the ground until they stand up and begin firing; these are called ghillie suits. The goal is to blend in with the environment you are playing in. You don’t want to stick out like a sore thumb because you will be out of the game within a few minutes of play.

A scope and a red dot laser are important to many snipers also. Some people don’t think about this until they get out on the playing field and they have a disadvantage because they cannot get their target in the right line of sight. They may continue to miss their target. A red dot laser allows you to have your shot in place before you pull the trigger. The scope is the sniper’s best friend, it gives a huge advantage. These two accessories are very important and can help you become an amazing sniper out in the field.
