Four Web Promotion Techniques
By Article Expert on Nov. 20, 2009.
So you have paid a lot of money for the web design and now have a professional looking website. It has been “live” on the internet for at least a month but you are not receiving any visitors to the site. So what can one do? Yes now is the time for the all important web promotion of the site. “Oh no, not more costs”, you may be thinking. “I do not really have the cash for web promotion after paying for the web hosting, the domain and the web designer to build the site. There is not a lot of money left over in the budget for web promotion as well”.
I here this on a regular basis. I offer an web promotion service in the UK and I have a lot of enquiries from people who had just presumed that their site would be able to achieve high rankings within Google purely by the skill and knowledge of the web designer. It is quite rare for web promotion to be a part of the service unless it has been previously agreed.
So for those of you who are seeking a higher search engine ranking position here are four website promotion techniques. They have worked for many websites including a friends DVD authoring website.
1. Start by deciding which phrases or keywords that you are hoping to achieve a high ranking for and ensure that they appear on the homepage.
2. Try to obtain one-way backward links via a link building campaign.
3. Use article marketing as it is a well known free form of web promotion that works. This is of benefit for a number of reasons; it helps to spread the message of the service/products that you provide; it enhances your reputation within the market plave and it also enables you to gain backward links
4. Add additional fresh and unique content to the site on a monthly basis.
As well as being a web promotion specialist I am offer stuttering.
I am confident that they will also be of great benefit to the readers of this article.
What Is The Bureau Of Unclaimed Money?
By Article Expert on Nov. 13, 2009.
Have you ever heard of the term the Bureau Of Unclaimed Money? Well to put it mildly it could be the best kept secret of the most sought after commodity since the invention of the hula hoop. Who doesn’t want money? Everybody wants money. In today’s economy everyone needs money. So what’s this all about? Bureau of unclaimed money what’s that?
The bureau of unclaimed money is frankly just that. It is a money pool of jewlery, cash, forgotten savings accounts, stocks, bond, etc. all estimated at over 30 billion dollars. I really love this stuff. So where do I go to get my hands on my money? Well first of all in order to be the recipient you would have had to have left money somewhere and forgotten about it. Not likely right. Wrong! It’s truly amazing how many people have money sitting somewhere that they don’t even know about. You might be owed a bundle of cash left by a family member. I know it is hard to believe but it is entirely possible that a family member has left you some cash.
How did this all come about and where can I search for my share? Well each state came up with a way to safeguard funds by enacting laws that mandates these institutions to hand over any unclaimed monies or valuables if you will to the state for safekeeping. Until such time as they claim it. Each states laws may differ slightly. But each state has a free search site online where you can find out whether or not you are owed money.
This is truly amazing! You may have already known about this or like me it may be new to you. So I wanted to get the word out. This is the most exciting thing that has come along for quite some time. If you are interested in finding out more about this truly amazing and virtually untapped goldmine. Click Here! This site really explains the entire process quite nicely. What I like about this site is that they tell you where to search. Here is another site that has a wealth of information as well. The site will give you the opportunity to learn how to file a claim, where to find unclaimed cash offline and how often to check for cash. You’ll also get the opportunity to make money helping people find their unclaimed cash. Given the economic plight that we are experiencing wouldn’t it be wonderful to locate some cash that belonged to you. Click Here!

Generate Traffic -Crucial Information
By Article Expert on Sep. 21, 2009.
An area you may not have considered being a source of decent traffic is offline advertising.
By offline I am talking about newspapers, business cards, trade journal magazines, etc.
This can be an excellent niche for your website if used properly, although you need to ensure you do your sums with this method quite carefully because the costs can be quite high, and it is easy to lose a lot of money if your not careful.
What you want to do is have a think about where your customer base hangs out when they are not online, what they read, etc.
It can be incredibly beneficial advertising your products offline, because most of your online competition is probably not doing it. To me this is just screaming “untapped market” !
To start the process, research popular trade magazines, periodicals, newspapers (specifically if there is a regular “section” for your niche market in a particular newspaper, etc).
For example, if your product is computer related, many newspapers have a computer “section”.
If you take the time to do this, you will find a number of areas where potential customers can be found.
Now, of course the process is a lot more complicated for offline ads as there is no simple method of clicking a link to get to your site.
Rather, they have to read your ad, find your link, remember it and/or write it down, and then get to the computer and find the piece of paper and/or remember your link and type it in. In today’s fast paced world with most people having a million and one things on their minds it’s not an easy ask, so you need to make it as easy as possible for your potential customer.
Firstly your URL needs to be as small as possible, to reduce the chance of a typo, but also it stands out.
Which one of these links stands out for you?
joebloggs.com/affiliates/make-me-mega-bucks/overwhelmingtraffic
Versus: -
dollarsonline.com/special
I am sure you will agree the 2nd URL would look a lot better for the potential customer. Why not just make the URL getmore you may ask.com instead of the special? The reason for that is tracking.
Because of the investment required, you need to make sure when investing offline, that you carefully track the number of visitors arriving on your website. Probably the best way of doing this is to have a unique URL that you only use in a particular type of offline ad, and that is not linked from your normal website. E.g. Other parts of your website should not link to this URL (although it would obviously be ok for this URL to link to other parts of your Website).
By adding a sub-directory to the URL, it can give you an easy way to track the response for a particular ad or type of promotion. e.g. the /special in the above example.
Alternatively you could have used a sub-domain as follows: -
http://special.dollarsonline.com
Tracking where your customers arrive from is always important (we discuss this in future chapters in more detail) but in this case it’s imperative for you to know where they came from so you can make decisions in the future about where to best spend your offline advertising budget i.e. which offline ads are generating the best response.
I recommend the following with each campaign
- Have a unique URL for each campaign or type of offline ad
- Have a special offer to the potential customer that is only available if they go to that exact URL.
- To ensure that the URL you specify is not linked to from other pages on your website (and thus not indexed by the search engines) so you can make a special offer if required to those people (and only those people) who visit that URL. Remember that getting people to visit that URL helps you in tracking the overall success of your campaign.
- Offer a special incentive (discount, coupon, free report, etc) to all visitors.
How about sponsorship? This is where you get behind a local club or organization and in return you get the ability to place an advertisement in their newsletter, or a sign in the club rooms, etc. Club members usually tend to get behind their sponsors so if your product is of interest to people it could sell itself.
Whenever looking at website advertising; we suggest you do some diligent research first and try and use the services of professionals.
One thing that I have done in the past is to have a URL on my car with a headline that grabs attention. Yes I have made sales from this, obviously not hundreds of visitors a day, but for a once off cost it can really pay off, stickers for cars are usually pretty inexpensive.
Visit local council and see if you can pay for an advertisement in their newsletters, or what about schools? Plenty of scope here so long as your product and/or information is relevant!
Give offline marketing a try; don’t forget most of your competitors probably aren’t doing it, so it could be your own little goldmine. Increased web site traffic is but one of the benefits of using this approach.
